Current resident here, although the majority of these reviews are accurate all the blame falls on 2B Living, one of the bay area's most worthless property managers. The owners of the building are actually quite nice and at least make an effort to resolve issues. They finally fired 2B and are moving property management in house. The building itself is great just in dire need of some TLC, 6 years isn't enough time for it to fall into total disrepair. TL;DR: I lived here for a year and would NOT recommend this place. You are much better off finding somewhere else with competent and responsive management and where your neighbors aren't either negligent or just not great human beings. The complex tries to come off as "luxury" with a roof top, stainless steel appliances in the interior, and shiny exterior but falls short in a number of ways as described below, though mostly coming down to incompetent and negligent management. We came for a tour today we were excited, but it was so disappointing. First our tour person came in after we arrived. We are looking for our new future place, turns out she could not show us the unit since it’s not ready? I don’t understand why this was not communicated in advance, we wasted our time, gas coming to this “tour”. We only saw the gym and rooftop that was it, no viewing of apartment. Very disappointing, we felt belittled.
I don't live here, my boyfriend does. Overall, the apartment is new-modern and nice looking. Management's communication is poor especially when it comes to an issue fix response. Throughout Nov and Dec 2022, there were 7 days of no Hot water. They fixed the boiler, and the water leaked into the apartment room. It took the management 3 days to address the issue and to cut the water circuit for kitchen sink and the dish washer. It has now been 3 days without kitchen water. The sound proofing here is really terrible. I have to sit here, as I am right now, listening to my neighbors upstairs, at 11pm, stomp around their apartment. The appliances and amenities are nice, but are pointless if people are partiers and you can't get any sleep. Complained at least three times to ask management to speak to them, to no avail. ......
