I was literally not in my right mind when I was admitted, but I certainly remember the kindness, compassion, and concern Wil (with one L) made me feel as he escorted me to the unit. I am giving 3 stars for my rating because the experience of being in the hospital was difficult for me to endure since I am a spoiled brat, but the staff there deserves 10. Nurses such as Roxy, Alli, and Tate along with superbly helpful BHAs like Selah and Eugene literally served me well and got me through a personally horrific time. The best p... read more
Beware. Our loved one was a resident at a memory care facility and was transferred to this hospital for " medicine management". She had become combative and they thought she might need her meds adjusted. When we first took her to st. Thomas she could walk and talk ( although didn't make much sense). She could feed herself and was continent. When we picked her up 3 weeks later she was completely and totally unresponsive. She had become incontinent and had list 15pounds during those 3 weeks. She was transferred back to the mem... read more
I totally understand when these reviews are what they are..please believe them....horrible experience
I spent a week here in April of 2024. The only good part of my entire stay was that some of the staff were nice. That's it. We didn't have body wash or shampoo, we showered with commercial hand soap. A few of the nurses would openly gossip about patients to each other within earshot of those patients. One of the cafeteria staff cussed out a patient because she had a gluten intolerance and was sick of eating the same meal 3 times a day for a week. the sink in my bathroom was broken for my entire stay. Only one of the phones w... read more
Although they may have a mental hospital, Saint Thomas offer almost no outpatient counseling. It' as though they only want to help you once you are at the point your require hospitalization rather than helping to help you not to get to that point. When my first Pychiatrist retired, they took over a year to replace him. His replacement was suddenly no longer there - giving me one day's notice to find a new one. What do you expect from a hospital that won't even number their parking lot spaces for aesthetic reasons leaving... read more
I went to be assessed for services like IOP/PHP and was told to bring clothes just in case since I was feeling depressed. Before I sat down, the lady said do you think you need to be inpatient, and I said no. She said you need to be here for a couple days. She asked me 3 questions: why are you here, finished school and last hospitalization and why. Told her 5 years ago and I took extra medication. However, she then cut me of and she took me out to the waiting area. The nurse saw me to get my vitals. I told her that I... read more
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! I have been Inpatient before, so I came in with expectations. Easy ones such as the understanding I will be helped, I will receive Knowledge in groups led to help me, and I could leave feeling like I had a fresh start. I was absolutely appalled at the lack of groups held, the extreme lack of helpful mental health advice, and the level of care from staff. If I wanted a group to be held, I had to ask to make it happen. (Thank you to Tech or Nurse Miles for leading a group I asked for, he dese... read more
