Be aware of the scan and go everyone!! The times ive scanned products and scan and go decide to add a further 30p or on a couple of occasions and extra £1 , the prices on lots of products don't match the price on the shelves so keep your eyes peeled. Shelves are poorly stocked, isles are constantly blocked by flipping cages and staff make no attempt to move em even when they see you struggling to get past with your trolley!! With ASDA Sinfin being my closest ASDA, I usually have little reason to come to Spondon, but man is this one much bigger with more choices. Way more options for toys, electronics, home stuff and whatnot, even has a McDonalds for its cafe, on top of an opticians and I believe a Pharmacy with consultation room. Everything you most likely will need especially if you live near Spondon or if your local ASDA elsewhere doesnt have it.
Whilst there is a good selection of products at Asda, I find the layout of the store really overwhelming. Why is it that I can find butter (for example) in 3 different locations? Sticking to one designated space should be the norm. Also my reason for 2 stars comes from my experience with the Asda toyou delivery service. During my visit, I observed an incident that left me very disappointed with the level of professionalism in the store. While I was browsing for glasses, I watched the manager/dispensing optician repeatedly make comments about it “nearly being home time” and urge a patient to “choose quickly.” This created an uncomfortable and rushed atmosphere, which is the last thing you expect when making an important purchase like eyewear. Always hard to locate staff on the grocery section of the store. Also check dates loads of out of date stock. This one was nearly 4 months!! When I let a member of staff know. He didn't seem that interested
