A good size store with great offers on a mixture of things. They also have a wide selection of George clothing which I love. The store is always well presented and the staff are very helpful and pleasant.
We used to shop regularly at Asda Gosforth when we lived a bit closer and the kids were at local schools so this was the first time we’d been in quite a while since moving. The whole store has really gone downhill. Outside areas are poorly maintained and litter strewn. Inside is drab and the state of the aisles and shelves quite shocking. Lost my respect with Asda’s cafe staff. As I just packing the items out the trolley and put them into my bags etc, the guy came to me and tell me off about use their cafe space. I’m planning to go to the cafe right after put all the items away first but his attitude was put me off, so I decided to left Asda cafe on my way out of supermarket in disbelief. It made me feel like they won’t let me to settle down afterwards just finished shopping.

Several freezers in frozen veg have no lighting making it impossible to see inside of them. The variety of brands compared to Tesco & Waitrose is awful & the floors need good clean. When down the bread aisle, several members of staff watching videos on YouTube with music blaring and customers around. The sam... read more
