We used to shop regularly at Asda Gosforth when we lived a bit closer and the kids were at local schools so this was the first time we’d been in quite a while since moving. The whole store has really gone downhill. Outside areas are poorly maintained and litter strewn. Inside is drab and the state of the aisles and shelves quite shocking. The staff are lovely! But the store itself has really gone downhill, lots of empty shelves and the stock range isn't great. Usually an excessively long wait at the kiosk or for parcel collection. Pizza counter is hardly ever open. The store is tired and dated and could do with a refresh.
Asda messed up my online order and delivered less than what I paid for. I returned the delivered products to store where I was ensured of a full refund by David the online orders team. I was only ever given half and I'm still £52 down a month later. They're trying to say I'm keeping products and haven't returned all that was delivered which is a lie. I have told them I want this properly investigated and have all the ring doorbell footage downloaded which shows the quantity of units delivered to my dad on the day. Ever since... read more

Should go for groceries and wide range of spirits. Bakery shop and cafe is a plus point. Its amazing to see wide range clothes in an affordable price. Loved to buy miniature of Glenfiddich and JD for a gift. Grooming section is also well maintained with lots of offers. If going from city center can go by metro if not taking car.
