Messy store, always FREEZING in the winter, a lot of customers and store workers complain about the temperature in store. Meal deals are a mess. Not much choices for meal deals already, what makes it worse is the selections are always empty. Fridges- empty. Shelves- empty. A lot of products in the meal deals section is not part of the meal deal and aren't marked clearly. Only ever reflect on the price after queuing for a long time at the check outs. Chivas Regal whiskey for £25 pounds on shelf and when you pay it's £36. They don't want to change to advertised price. Beware buyers daylight robbery if you don't check your receipt.
We used to shop regularly at Asda Gosforth when we lived a bit closer and the kids were at local schools so this was the first time we’d been in quite a while since moving. The whole store has really gone downhill. Outside areas are poorly maintained and litter strewn. Inside is drab and the state of the aisles and shelves quite shocking. Whilst me and my mam were shopping she unfortunately took ill. Liam the grocery lead was brilliant and very helpful, went and got a chair from the restaurant and then a wheelchair for me to use to take her to the car. He was very attentive asking if we needed a first aider . Great asset to Asda! Thank you Liam 😀
Closed at 22:20 today, supposed to be until midnight. Prices run wild and tbh, im happier to spend the tiniest bit more for MUCH more quality in M&S.... it used to be a place to get a huge variety, now its a dump to get ripped off in.
