This place has been my corner shop for the last 6 years, and you couldn't ask for a nicer, more down to earth bunch of people. They always have time for a smile and a friendly word, or noticing something different about you today, and when you work from home it really brightens your day. Particular shout out to Chante, always happy for a quick hello before serving the next person in the queue, and she makes me feel cool for a minute and not the old man I really am. Hi It is very very disappointed to know that the security guard is not here now. The shop lifters are free do steal anything from shop. The security guard played his role to make this place peaceful. He should be back on duty to rid with the shop lifters on high street.
I popped into the shop having just been to another local supermarket. I had noticed that the security guard was observing me as soon as I walked in and followed me round the store. I changed my mind about what I wanted and went to leave. The security guard clearly thought I had been shoplifting. I have no issue being stopped as uncomfortable as it is as shoplifting is clearly a major issue for retailers. Witnessed the most unprofessional behaviour by a cashier here today. After waiting in a queue for 5mins one customer simply asked for more staff to serve us- instead of a clam reply he was met with vitriol and swearing by the cashier. This store needs to retrain its staff on customer service and how to talk to customers! Shocked with what I witnessed in this Asda pump.
I regularly use the Asda petrol station in Harborne to collect my Evri and Amazon parcels, and the experience has always been smooth.
