I didn’t know a general surgeon in Athens. I asked a friend who he would recommend because he works in the medical field and works with Dr Mejias. I called to schedule an appointment. They got me in the next week. I was called back quickly. The nurse that took vitals and history was super friendly and quick. Dr Mejias was quick to come in my room. First impression was not good! A lady behind the front desk was on the phone talking very loud, borderline unprofessional. But everyone after that was great! Nurses and PA very nice and professional, answered all our questions and made the process easy.
I was very impressed with Dr. Mejias as well as with his staff. Everyone was professional and knowledgeable. Facility was clean and comfortable. I arrived early and was taken back without waiting.
I have never been so disgusted with a so called doctor in my life. He basicly told my wife that there was no way to fix her issue, when I questioned this he told me that there are some doctors that are trying procedures like flap procedures and lift procedures but they are very difficult and don't work well. So after about a year of suffering we went to one of the best colorectal surgeons in the country in NYC at Columbia and he did the flap procedure in about 45 minutes. Jessica was amazing!! She took the extra time to listen and explain everything about my dad's exam. It's refreshing to not feel rushed or unheard. My dads radiology exams were put through and scheduled within a couple of hours of the Drs appointment. Best experience ever!!! Thank you!!
