TLDR: Baldwin Paving will damage your property and deny any responsibility unless you have video evidence to prove they’re are responsible. I was traveling east on Mars Hill Rd on Friday June 23rd at approximately 7:10pm. Near street address 3022 Mars Hill Rd the road widens from 2 lanes to include a suicide lane. The east and west lanes had been repaved but the suicide lane had not yet been repaved. Y’all need to leave the directing of traffic to the police. Y’all almost got me resented when you decided to stop my rig in the middle of the intersection so an asphalt truck could cross. Even tho the light was about to cycle them green anyways…
Their drivers have been in our neighborhood on two separate phases of street additions. The first time the heavy haul driver ran over our yards and when confronted by my wife he got very aggressive! I am a heavy haul driver and would not,nor have I ran over yards and curbs. Today they sent a driver in, who crushed our stop sign/ street sign and ran over 3 yards at one time, smashing my neighbors sprinklers that are underground. He never slowed down, knowing my neighbor was videoing his stupidity! You get what you pay for !
They really need to train their drivers better. A driver nearly sideswiped me when he made an improper lane change. The worst thing is, it was close to their base of operations so he knows the roads very well and knew he was making an improper lane change. I worried that this disregard for safety is a systemic problem within the company
Employees have no respect for yards and residents of a subdivision. Flaggers do not stand within regulations - have to come within inches of them with your car because they do not stand in proper distances and do not move - because smoking their cigarettes are more important. Trash will be left in yards by employees (Dasani water bottles, etc.). They care nothing!
