I don’t usually leave reviews, but after months of dealing with repeated issues and unprofessional treatment from Ballard Realty, I feel obligated to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. During our initial tour, Allison stood at the door on her phone and could not answer basic questions about the unit. Ballard Property Management had been incredibly helpful with the process of leasing my house. Their management fees are fair and they are very fast at responding to any questions and concerns that I have on my unit. Highly recommend!
Unless you're a slum lord and don't care about the condition of your property, I recommend staying away. Our tenant complained to the company of our fence falling over in 2021, which they had propped up with a wood board. Their maintenance request was denied, and they said "it was fixed"- with a board to prop it up mind you. Fast forward to 2024, and the entire fence around the yard was failing, so much so that our neighbor threatened legal action against us. There was mold growing through the drywall in my apartment. They refused to fix it for 2 years. When I moved out they charged me a $912 cleaning fee out of my security deposit to get rid of the mold. The studio was only 300 sq ft. The other tenants in the building said the management wouldn’t help either their mold issues either. Do not rent from them.
One of the worst property management experiences I’ve ever had. As a property owner, I trusted Ballard Property Management to act responsibly on my behalf. Instead, I’ve seen nothing but dismissiveness, neglect, and outright disregard for tenant comfort and long-term property value for our investment.
