OMgoodness. This place is a God send. The staff and Dr. Gunnels are awesome and every other word that gives them praise. Wait time wasn't very long. But who cares its New Year's Eve and they took the time to be at work. I am from out of town and the hospital has bad reviews. The people at the hotel said to come here. So we did. Quickly ran xrays since my husband was having back pain. Did covid test-no covid. Then figured out what was wrong. Called in a prescription to the pharmacy which was awesome too. I ask before they tested for COVID and FLU if any additional charges was told no, but the fact they billed me an additional $100.00 after paying $150.00 needed something for cough I had for 2 weeks and because I tested positive for COVID, I got a sheet of paper showing natural remedies. 2weeksxand still have cough. Disappointed more ways than one as what has happened to this clinic.
Dr Trint is a very smart man. Kristie is always so nice and very professional when doing her triage. I love that you can go anytime between 7 AM & 7 PM. I've found that you get in and out quicker if you can manage to go after about 5 PM. *update 9/3/2025* I was at the clinic yesterday at 1:00 and left at 3:00 & Dr Trint was going to send my prescriptions to my pharmacy. It's 12:15 now, a whole day later, and they still haven't been sent to pharmacy! I've called 3 times and each time was told they're working on it.! Ugh!
Dr. Gunnels and Lexie Gunnels, APRN are AMAZING. They are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. Not only are the providers great, the whole staff is! They are super friendly and communicative. Go to Baptist Urgent Care. They care for you!!
If I could give this visit zero stars, that's what I'd do! I had the 1:48pm appointment for today and didn't get called back until after 5:30pm! I was told several times by receptionist that they were just backed up and that I was next. However I watched walk-in after walk-in get called back, even those in the appointment time slots after mine (viewing the waitlist I could tell) were being called back.
