As a parent with a child on the autism spectrum I was nervous about sending my youngest to ABA therapy. Dealing with a kid with autism can be scary since you want the best and safest environment for them so that they can grow and be nurtured properly. We were very pleased with the attention given to our child and the progress he made. The BCBA was good and offered helpful direction and advice. The techs were good. Of course, the kids each have favorites. There were a lot of different techs that worked with our child. We would have preferred a smaller number of them but it was still fine. Carla (BCBA) and her team are absolutely amazing. They are so kind and patient with my son. I highly recommend this location.
I can't recommend Behavioral Innovations to anyone. My son attended this location for 10 months without any issues. Then without any notice, BI's billing department called to say my son was being suspended due to insurance not paying. We think we get the issue resolved, and then he got suspended again. Now, the day after we give our notice to terminate services, my son gets suspended a 3rd time, this time the billing dept tells me "my son isn't in their [insurance] system, so we're not able to bill for services". Terrible experience, would not recommend BI to anyone. They don't care about the patient and child progress and their billing practices are extremely shady. There are lots of hidden fees as private pay. They put the child to sleep for extended periods and bill a huge amount for it. They never explain nap time/sleep charges and use jargon that is incomprehensible to the average person unfamiliar with ABA billing. They will ask you to give 30-day notice of service termination but they will stop the service anytime without any ... read more
