Attended an open at Bell Uptown last week to tour apartments. It was a quaint and cute experience with snacks, drinks, and very friendly+helpful leasing agents. Thank you Myra and Alphonso for all of the help information and recommendations. Still haven't quite settled on what part of Oakland to live but if I decide on downtown Oakland I will definitely live here.
We booked to see this lovely apartment and were greeted by Donnell. He was very jolly, welcoming and was a cool vibe. He showed us two units and we wanted to go with the last one but know we needed to sleep on it plus we had other places to see as well. Even though we didnt go for this place wasnt because of the area but we wanted and were looking for more to offer. Our bikes were stolen, and no one informed tenants about this. We found out on our own when we decided to take a ride. And it is not the first incident of this kind. Many tenants experienced the same problem, and now they keep their bikes in their apartments while paying for the privilege of having a bicycle storage room. Our car in the garage was damaged, and management is of no help either, simply refusing to communicate with us. I had to quickly find somewhere to live and the Bell Uptown came through! Donnell made it a smooth process from the start , I had a great tour of the building and moved in within a month. This location is great for commuting all over the Bay, offers parking, and has good amenities. Donnell the building manager and maintenance team are very responsive.
Absolutely horrible. They never provided the pin to enter the viewing and when I arrived they said the apartments I was interested in was not available even though it was confirmed via email. Do not rent from here. They have no respect and do not value their potential resident.
