I purchased a leather recliner in 2015 for my husband in the Hyannis, Mass. store. I believe it was June 2015. It was just over one year old when the problems started. The leather on the back wore away in a large patch. I had purchased a 5 year protection plan. A technician came to examine it and it ended up that they provided a replacement back section. Last August I purchased a few items from the Bernie and Phyls Saugus store. Most of the items were fine; however, the sofa has been nothing but a problem: first it was something wrong with the frame, then the cushions got really soft to the point that we feel the frame when we seat on it. We waited 2 months just to have the bottom cushions delivered today. In the meantime one of the arms developed a dent in it. Last August I purchased a few items from the Bernie and Phyls Saugus store. Pushy sales person (Dee) said competition was crap when it was clearly better quality than ******* *********I was looking at (** has low rating), she was saying ** was the best quality! Old tired sales tactic. I was ready to purchase a couch that would have lasted 5 years maybe, and I asked for a 8% discount. Manager came in, said no discount possible, left, I walked out, then looked at reviews back home and I am glad I dodged the bullet. Don't fall for it, look online first, know what you are buying.

I bought a *********** Mattresses from Bernie & Phyl's that was about $1800+ dollars. I went there to get a reasonable comfortable bed due to back pain. The sales man got me into a bed that was way out of my budget, but that it would really help me. I was so desperate for a comfortable bed that I paid for it. He had mentioned that if the bed was not working out that I could trade it in for another bed as long as I paid $200 dollars as a return fee. The bed had the protection sheet on it . I purchased a sectional costing over $1500 in December 2016. Within the year I saw one side of the sectional break and I called customer service to get this fixed as it was still in warranty. The customer service representative came in and put in an order for a repair. It took 5 weeks for the replacement part to come and after that I scheduled them to pick it up.
