After agonizing over the decision whether it was time to move mom or not to Memory Care, the decision was made when she left her apartment in the middle of the night and fell. Mom moved into Birchview Memory Care a few weeks ago. She is safe now. She is happy. She is participating in activities. We are so glad we made the decision. We have been lucky enough to have mom at Birchview for almost 2 years now. It's a wonderful place with a calm caring environment for those who need memory care. With the most kind and caring staff. Where every staff member is part of her day and show that the truly do care about the residents. We toured other facilities and they do not compare to Birchview. It's such a comfort knowing she's there and well taken care of.
Although a family member chose to post a poor review with inaccurate information, I want to counter that by saying that Birchview Memory Care provided excellent care for my mother. The facility is always clean and the residents all appear well-cared for. The management and staff were professional and took very good care of my mother. My Mom enjoyed her home at Birchview, giving her new friends and fun things to do. My brother and I were very pleased with her care and enjoyed spending time with her at Birchview. Just walking in the door and being greeted by Peggy and the other staff brought a calm to my day. My Mom's nurses and caregivers were always so attentive to her needs.
