I have been going to Dr. Shaghaghi for almost a year, and she is the BEST psychiatrist I have ever had. I have seen plenty of psychiatrists in my time. She is very thorough, doesn’t make me feel rushed, is very professional and competent, and she truly cares about her patients. I have improved under her care. She diagnosed me accurately and chose the right meds to address my symptoms, all with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. I have been seeing Dr. Shaghaghi. She is the reason that I began going to Northern Valley Indian Health. She is, by far, the best psychiatrist I have been treated by - hands down. I have seen quite a few in my 50 years, so this is no fly-by-night compliment. Dr. Shaghaghi is very professional, thorough and truly cares about her patient's well-being. She is/will be an asset to whoever/where ever she works. I would highly recommend her to anyone serious about their own care.

Caveat Emptor. Had an appointment for insomnia and also presented with long covid symptoms. Dr. told me that I didn't have long covid and used these documented lc symptoms to diagnose me falsely and attempted to prescribe me an off label dangerous medication for a diagnosis she didn't give me. I'm currently a participant in the UCSF study for Long Covid and recently had my four year study point. UCSF sequenced my entire genome. Please be careful when considering this doctor for your behavioral health needs.

Dr. Shaghaghi has strong credentials, but concerns about her practice warrant consideration.She lacks strong listening skills & is quick-tempered & impatient. Patients may find that their input is overlooked. She forgets disclosed information for months at a time & doesn’t take effective notes. She may act unprofessionally, lecturing like a parent scolds a child. Dr Bita Shanghai Contini should be in jail. She slept with a 15 year old while she was more than 10 years older and acting like she was religious and helping him at school. That is also her new husbands brother and then she groomed her husband since he was 10 years old. She watched him and was a part of their families life. Her husband is 39 and she is 55. So when he was 10 she was 26. Sick and disgusting behavior. She also was involved with inmates at her job in Vacaville. She is so gross and she should lose her License

Dr. Shaghaghi wrote me the wrong prescription-she wrote a prescription for 300 mg once a day when it was supposed to be 300 mg twice a day (600 mg). She was supposed to continue my previousprescription of 300 mg twice a day (600 mg). Good thing I'm smart and I caught it before starting to take the psychiatric medication. Due to her incompetence in not being able to correctly write prescriptions something very serious could've happened to my mental health.
