In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Excellent food, large menu, great service. Just great home cooking, apparently a chain franchise. I could get dinner at lunchtime. I’m stuffed with leftovers. Friday’s fish and chip specials, Saturday prime rib.
