Black Bear Diner has the best service. Family atmosphere and very friendly! Great place to bring your family for food. The customer is first in this establishment. I give them 5 stars.
Good food and good service! They gave me a free Bear's Choice breakfast for my birthday and I enjoyed the waffle and ham steak. My wife ordered the California Bacon Eggs Benedict -- which was great! Bacon, avocado, tomato and spinach on the Benedict!!!! Are you kidding me?! What a delicious combination!! Everything looked so good that we started eating right away -- so this photo was taken mid-meal. Sorry about that (but not really).

This Black Bear restaurant on State Street is so much fun to visit due to a fabulous server named Key. She is knowledgeable about the menu, extremely hard working, yet funny and sassy which makes the entire dining experience that much more enjoyable. I always request to be placed in her section because I know I will have excellent service and a smile on my face while there.

Excellent food and service. Always friendly servers with portions big enough to split. Close by and easy access. Nice atmosphere.

The place was almost empty. Which was odd. I know they had been closed for a while so maybe people just don't know it had reopened. The food we had was better than most other Black Bears. Service was also above average. I just wish we lived closer to it. We'd go there very often if is was.
