In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Came in this afternoon and there was a couple of tables. 1 server doing all the work. He did an amazing job! Food was astonishing! Well done black Bear

Came in Friday night and had the tri tip. It was delicious! Our server Brandon was excellent. Will be back on Easter with our family.

First time visiting Black Bear. It was Friday 4/15. Our server Brandon was spot on. We had the Mac n cheese and the Scramble. He was very attentive and polite. Food was amazing! Atmosphere was great. Will be back to try more stuff on your menu! Keep up the good work.

Our first visit to your establishment was Sunday. I was not disappointed at all! I must say that y’all have a well oiled machine going on. We sat at the bar, my wife and I. From the managers Joe and Hector running the ( they called it expo ) to the servers coming and picking up their orders, to the host being friendly at the front (tabitha). We are visiting Our family in Brownsville and noticed your diner. We’ve heard about it but never tried it. We are from The Dallas area. The hostess are very nice and greeted us upon arrival. Sat down in Roses section. She looked kinda busy but as she was leaving a table she did acknowledge us and said she would be with us in a min. I thought this is going to take forever. I was wrong.
