RecommendedWe visited Black Bear Diner in Brownsville for the first time today! No waiting list at 8:00 am. The manager greeted us upon arrival and we were immediately guided by the hostess to our table. I ordered the Hobo Omelette to share with my teen daughter. The portion size was perfect to share. This was our first time at this restaurant and I must say, the food was excellent and were large portions. Not to take away from the food but our service was on point. Minerva was an awesome server. She served us with a smile and made us feel right at home. We tried the burger and club sandwich and was very good.

A refreshing change in selection for the area! The portions are substantial(bring an appetite) paired along side quality ingredients and a pleasing presentation makes for an amazing meal anytime of the day. Restaurant experience was A+ with very clean facilities accompanied by considerate knowledgeable helpful staff.

Great comfort food that has a homestyle taste. Dinner portions are HUGE! Next time I'll have the smaller portion. Definitely going back to try the breakfast menu and coffee.
