RecommendedI’m so happy to have a Black Bear Diner in San Diego. The food is always great! Mashed potatoes are my favorites. I appreciate how they have their “Little Less” menu items. The desserts are huge!

FOOD: The biscuits and gravy are AMAZING!!! They’ve got excellent food that includes a lot of items popular in the southern US. I have yet to order something that I was displeased with. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The waiters/waitresses could use a class in customer service. We’ve never really seen a big smile and “WELCOME!!!”. But the food makes you quickly forget about that hiccup in customer service.
