I'm finishing another delicious breakfast here at Blackbear in Lodi. Mary was my server. She is so bubbly and positive! Always in a great mood and is such a joy! She really helps make my dining experience a pleasure. Another great meal. Thanks Mary!
Clean and comfortable surroundings. Very friendly and efficient staff and service. Avocado toast is very tasty, cup of fruit is a nice touch. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Will be back.
Black Bear Diner is much like Denny's but not much like Denny's. What makes it much like Denny's is it's breakfast and how you can always count on it being good. How it isn't much like Denny's is you can order lunch or dinner and count on it being good. That's why I will pick Black Bear Diner over Denny's any time. We love BBD once in a while for Sunday morning breakfast. Fresh taste, and the largest portions we've ever seen at a restaurant. The coffee is also amazing. Highly recommend making this a breakfast visit!!
stopped coming to this location due to the service , it was just super inconsistent & never had a good server here. My mom loves black bears food so i decided to go take her out for breakfast and give it one more go. Ambience is spot on for people who love the mountains and outdoors Food can be hit and miss at the Valencia Ca location -- depends on the cook in the kitchen I suppose. The menu is diverse so there is something for everyone, and I enjoy the menu itself. It's like a newspaper with various interesting tidbits about the chain. My go to is the salmon dinner and do not pass up the biscuits. They are huge and delicious

Nicely decorated large restaurant chain. All day breakfast with lots of choices. Arrived at 10am on a Monday. Got seated immediately in a booth. Waitress friendly and helpful. The coffee cups are large and thick. Bear paws and pictures of black bears all over. Food was awesome too. I recommend this comfortable diner.
