We were excited to try it, but it didn’t go so well. Me and my wife went yesterday and were seated immediately with no wait. After 15 minutes of sitting in a booth waiting for someone to come by and take drink orders or something, we left. Nobody ever came over and we had a couple waiters walk by several times. There was hardly anyone at the restaurant on a Sunday evening. If it was busy I would understand. We went down the street to Madison’s diner and ate dinner. Unfortunately, I don’t think we will be returning.

I so wanted to give this a higher rating but the service was spotty at best, inattentive at its worst. Food was good and portions were great for the money.

I have ordered a burger here twice. The first time it had blood running out of it. Who eats a raw, bloody, burger? A steak - ok, but not hamburger. Tonight I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side salad. I got the side salad, and I also got a cheeseburger basket with fries and NO bacon. The hamburger was so salty it was inedible. I ate about 2 bites and left. We will not be back. I'm not a Chef, but even I can cook an edible hamburger. Which is what I should have done and saved our $30 for some other place.

The service the last two times we have been here was terrible. We would wait long periods of time before ever getting drinks ordered then long period of time getting drinks and ect. We probably will not be back, the food is good bite service is in big need of change.

If I could leave 0 Stars, I would. We have been so excited to try this place out but after waiting 50 minutes and still no food, we left, after letting the manager know how incredibly disappointing the whole visit was. It wasn’t busy at all when we got there and we placed our orders pretty quickly. 30 min went by and our server came back to apologize for the wait and let us know that she would be bringing us cornbread while we waited. A bit later, we asked her why there was a delay, she told us that they were short handed ... read more

The music was too loud for a restaurant but that’s ok. Food was ok. Restaurant clean. But what was weird was our server Melissa. She proceeded to tell us about the new breakfast menu when we were there for dinner. After we got our food she came up to our table and said “ so I have to ask y’all a question” and basically asked us if she could go home now. And If yes, she would go ahead and close our check (and receive her tip). But don’t worry !!! To other servers are here to help you !!- not .!!

We loved Black Bear when it first opened! However, we met our sister and brother n law there Sunday night, and it was awful! Very disappointed! The pancakes were very small and we didn’t receive the ham from the Grizz meal, the bacon was not cooked. Overall it was a very bad experience for us!
