Came here with my boyfriend during lunch, we waited maybe 10 mins for a table. Our server was friendly & attentive, wish I would've remembered his name! I ordered the Denver omelette with hashbrowns & biscuit. My boyfriend built his own breakfast. Food was hot when served & we didn't wait long for it at all. It was packed but surprisingly wasn't loud. Food was great & reasonably priced. We also ordered cold brews, I ordered the vanilla one but it tasted like cold chocolate milk. Our total was less than $40. I recommend if yo... read more
DoorDash order - Food is very filling and basic. Our first time trying it and would probably try it dining in. The waffle was heavily dense and chewy. Scrambled eggs were bland. Bacon had gotten soggy by the time it got to us but that was expected. The gravy had the most flavor of everything. Hashbrowns were mushy and burnt at the same time. The NY strip and eggs were just fine, I ordered medium, it turned out medium well and tough. Country potatoes needs some help.
Ive been here a few times with friends and family and we all had an amazing experience. Our server Natalie was so attentive and kind her vibe was so welcoming. The food was pretty good with pretty big portions in my opinion. Will definitely continue to visit this location.
Came with family to finally try out Black Bear, we got here early and there was already a line. After checking in with the hostess we had about a 30 min wait, not too bad. If the name of the place doesn't give it away, this diner is log cabin/outdoors themed with plenty of black bears around. After reading over their newspaper styled menu, I ordered the egg and corned beef hash combo with a side pancake. When the food came it was plentiful and served on big plates. My eggs were perfectly scrambled, the hash browns were ni... read more
As you can see it's one of my favorite new spots to come to! It's always hot and fresh food, always inviting staff and always clean! It's super new so I'd expect it to be clean lol. Overall good priced food, that does not disappoint.
Service was slow. I think the cooks in the kitchen are the bottleneck. Food was ok but not super flavorful. The theme and ambiance was very nice. Allow an hour and a half when it's busy.
As usual, BBD did not disappoint. I've been to many locations in California and Oregon so it was great to see a San Antonio location. My only complaint is that they built such a small space. I've never had to wait in line before. Hopefully they add another San Antonio location or expand this one.
Would definitely recommend it! The food and atmosphere were great. The service a bit off, but probably because of how busy they were. My wife's food came 5 mins after the table was served, and my side of fruit was missing. My son loved the hash browns. My wife's Benedicts were spot on and the cinnamon roll French toast was definitely worth the try. And FYI portions are huge. You will leave stuffed.
We were a party of 7 . Our waiter was very attentive to our needs. He took our order pretty quick after serving our drinks and the food came out fast as well. For as crowded as it was and for all the tables he was waiting on I was very impressed with this young man. Food was superb as always . This location is really nice & clean . I advise if you're going for breakfast go as really as you can because this location can have a bit of a wait . Definitely will be going back to this location.
