RecommendedAfter taking our daughter to the airport, my wife and I made our usual stop on the way home. The last time we were there, the hostess recommended that we leave, they were understaffed and it was about 30 minutes before closing. We did just that. Our original date to visit the Diner was Father's day we was a party of 4, and the Diner was short staffed at the time we arrived. We were advised of this by the host, but we sat anyways as the Diner was not busy, and we wanted to try out the food. We were sat at a table and although it took some time our drink and food orders were taken. While we were waiting some other customers arrived and sat as well. We love Black Bear Diner and generally go to the one closer to our home (290 and 1960). However, we were buying a car just down the street and stopped in for dinner on our way home (5/6/22). This was the first time I wasn't satisfied with our meal. I ordered the California Benedict and asked for the tomatoes to be extra grilled...to the point of being charred.
