3 1/2 stars, just can't round up this time. For me, the breakfast is their best meal, they usually get this right (usually is key). Sometimes it's amazing, sometimes it's just okay. Lunch & Dinner: Large portions. Food is typical chain "home style" cooking. Except the home is not grandma's, but the family member that likes to cook, but never got that good at it. The food was great, especially the hash browns with cheese and bacon!! The burger had bacon chopped up on it so you got bacon in every bite. The pancakes get a thumbs up. Brigette our waitress talks fast but had a good attitude.

First, and most importantly, our server, Bridgette, was AMAZING!!! She provided the best service I have experienced in a very long time. My drink never ran dry, she made sure we were not lacking anything at all, and she was very pleasant the entire time. The food was good , the atmosphere was very inviting, and the merchandise was adorable. The best part of the dining experience was most definitely Bridgette! She was just fabulous!

We always eat out on Sunday's after church. Black Bear Diner in Pasadena has been added to our restaurant rotation. There are usually 6 or 7 of us and they are able to accommodate us comfortably. Their menu selection meets everyone's tastes from breakfast for lunch, to small or large portions of the chicken fried steak. The wait staff is always friendly and willing to serve. The food is very good, the service is excellent, but the desserts especially the chocolate cake. The cake is very dry. No moisture whatsoever just ate there yesterday our third visit. All three visits that we have made there. I have always ordered the Bob's big bear burger. The bun for this big hamburger is not big enough. When you start to eat if you cut the burger in half and start to eat it. It falls apart because the bun is not big enough because they put a lot of lettuce on the burger. Food: Burger was above average. The mayo and thousand island kind of dimmed it down for me. 4 Stars Service: I asked the server that I only wanted lettuce, tomato, and onions on my burger. She forgot to also tell the cook to leave out the mayo and thousand island. I can forgive her because she was apologetic, friendly, young, and new. 4.5 Stars Ambiance: There is an odor or aroma or something that was strange to my nose. I'm not sure what it was. 3 Stars. Yum! I have eaten here twice now and plan to make this a habit when here for work trips! If you have been going to the ihop nearby, this is your improvement. After several slow service breakfasts without a single refill and average food at best I figured it can't hurt to try something new. This place has kept me loaded with fresh iced tea.
