We took the kids to Black bear a bit ago when one was craving eggs and the other pancakes - we didn't feel like cooking and wanted something different than the Denny's or ihop in the area that I haven't been to in years. I looked up reviews for places nearby and came across this place just a hair north of clear lake into Pasadena. Service and food was really good . However upon getting seated Amy from management was yelling at her waitress staff in front of everyone due to her pants.Which was extremely unprofessional and made it extremely uncomfortable for the rest of us in the restaurant as the restaurant grew quite. I feel sorry for that waitress for such disrespect and embarrassment in front of everyone. Amy definitely needs training on how to approach her staff and understand there is a time a place for everything .

We visited Black Bear Diner for Thanksgiving 2023. The food was delicious but Windy, our waitress, was the reason the meal was so fantastic. We had a lot of requests but Windy was so kind and courteous about all of them. You could tell she really cared about us enjoying our Thanksgiving dinner.

Everything was delicious! Food had a great portion size! Windy was our server and she was OUTSTANDING! She is the reason we will be coming back!!
