My boyfriend and I have been to a handful of Black Bear Diners in multiple states. This is our first in Utah. Sadly, we were disappointed. There was hardly anyone at the restaurant. We weren't greeted when we walked in and it took some time for them to sit us. Like I said, hardly anyone dining, and they put us way in the corner next to the kitchen, with a broom and dustpan. 9 of us went to breakfast today. We were seated right away, the days of long lines and people everywhere were missing. I think I know why. Service was awesome but the food has gone downhill bad. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and the biscuits and gravy. I asked for the eggs to be well done. For a start everything was served at the same time, which was great but what I got was disappointing. Parking was close to the door, the lobby was clean the restrooms were clean. Friendly staff and good food. It is wheelchair accessible if needed. I had a wonderful servers. Thank you to kaylee and kristy our servers
I don’t know if my most recent experience was a one off or if the food has gone down hill. The staff was wonderful and helpful though. My husband enjoyed his food. I ordered the avocado toast which was good but the toast was unevenly toasted (burnt on top and soft on the lower half), the eggs had no flavor and the hash browns were undercooked. I ordered the huckleberry drink which was delicious
This was some of the worst food we have had. Dirty floors, cold food, no all you can eat fish and chips like they advertised. On a Friday and they were out of fish. It was supposed to go till 9 pm. We could see our food under the heat lamps for 20 minutes. We won’t be back. You should have tasted the kids grilled cheese, so bad. I ordered a bowl of soup and it came in a little teeny teeny 1/2 cup bowl or less. Salad was bad. Anyway it’s too bad.
