You won't leave hungry. Very friendly staff and great mountain feel. Should of worn my red flannel! Huge portions and great service. The biscuits are ginormous! The gravy was ok. Love the hash browns they are thick strips. Oh and did I mention they had an old school bar counter you can eat at! Definitely one of the better places to get a solid lumberjack breakfast without waiting hours for a seat.
Stopped here after our AUTO SHOWS for breakfast and glad that we did! Service was awesome!!! The waitress was really nice as well as, the lady in the blue shirt standing behind the cash register. The first thing I noticed was a Radio station setup in the front door next to a jukebox... who knew! Great place! We rolled in late with a pretty large party, which is always something that is sort of frowned upon. But Marcus made sure we were treated well and were fed well within an appropriate time. Dude was on top of things and really knew what he was doing. Great food, large selection, would recommend.
Amazing food and service. We had the 10 ounce burger perfectly prepared with French fries that were super crispy. A magnificent burger with a great blend of meats. We also had the fish and chips with three shrimp. A great buy. Included fries and cole slaw. The slaw did not taste fresh. The service was excellent. The young man in the front assisted the server with our order. He was well spoken and attentive. This is a great place to eat with reasonable prices.
When I say Black Bear Diner is a wonderful experience it is an understatement. Our server, Marcus, brought every single one of our 8 guests joy. We walked into Black Bear Diner excited to eat some wonderful food. We asked for our favorite waiter, obviously Marcus. After being seated we got our drink order taken and brought to us instantly. I love diner food and Big Bear hits the spot! The food is always delicious (breakfast lunch and dinner), and the service is always great. Shout out to Marcus for always being an amazing server!
I have been to this restaurant many times and love the food. I visited today and wanted to comment on a great server. His name is Axel. He was very professional and attentive. He got everything in the order correctly and came back to our table many times to check on us and to pour more water and coffee. Great server.
This has become a regular spot and I am glad it is in Scottsdale. Met a friend for brunch today and our server was so nice. His name is Axel. He got the orders out just like we asked them to be made, thanks to his instructions to the kitchen. He was humorous and attentive. The food was great and our server was the best.
