After overlooking this place for way too long, I finally decided to try it. This place is under rated! I have been back several times, and it is your wholesome diner like place. There are obviously a ton of breakfast places around but I love BBD for being simple, well priced, and delicious! They have a few familiar items with their own twist, like their patties sausages, waffles, and pancakes are packed with flavor and different from most places. Their staff is super attentive and always great.

Your usual diner food, but with more variety. We always enjoy the different meals they come up with. The scrambled bowls are always tasty and large! I tried the biscuit sandwich with avocado, overeasy egg, and all the toppings with a side of potatoes and they were tasty! The service was fantastic. We only had a short wait on black Friday morning and our waitress went above and beyond. Kept our drinks full and checked on us when needed. Slightly on the louder side, but it is a family friendly place.

If you're looking for a comforting diner spot, Black Bear Diner fits the bill. I got an omelette with a fruit and pancakes. The omelette was no good - the eggs were super dry and it was really hard to eat with the fillings sandwiched inside the egg instead of mixed into the egg. The fruit was actually pretty nice. The pancake was the surprise winner - the sweet cream added just the right sweetness to the pancakes and I like how crispy the edges were while being fluffy inside. It wasn't busy when I had a late dinner. When I ordered my club soda, the server asked if I wanted a lemon wedge with it...I've been on the road for 15 years and that's the first time someone asked if I preferred that. It's how I drink my soda! Very friendly servers, and the cook stopped by to chat. It seemed like the crew were friends more than coworkers. Food was average but hot and fresh. I'd come back for the ambiance alone!

Stopped in recently for dinner and now I know why their prime rib sells out so dang fast, it's good and for the price can't be beat anywhere. It was exactly the comforting food I needed. Green beans tasted canned but were cooked with a bit of onion and bacon lardons to give it good flavour, mashed potatoes are always good and came with a nice thick gravy. I love this Diner . You walk into a little gift shop and than your seated . The menu looks like a newspaper . The staff is friendly and the food is delicious . I've eaten the chicken fried steak at the one up north and today I ate a Turkey avocado sandwich with a salad. I ordered my salad with ranch dressing and it comes with bacon bits and onion in it which gives it a little extra flavor . My friend ate the chicken noodle soup and it looked really good . If you want some good down home food this is the place to go !

We love Black Bear Diner! The decor is great takes me back to where I come from. We were impressed with the huge portions and also really good service. The restaurant was clean and neat and the entire staff seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking forward to the prime rib, but unfortunately, it was a very thin slice and surrounded by fat. Otherwise, the food is fantastic.
