Amazing food and service. We had the 10 ounce burger perfectly prepared with French fries that were super crispy. A magnificent burger with a great blend of meats. We also had the fish and chips with three shrimp. A great buy. Included fries and cole slaw. The slaw did not taste fresh. The service was excellent. The young man in the front assisted the server with our order. He was well spoken and attentive. This is a great place to eat with reasonable prices.
When I say Black Bear Diner is a wonderful experience it is an understatement. Our server, Marcus, brought every single one of our 8 guests joy. We walked into Black Bear Diner excited to eat some wonderful food. We asked for our favorite waiter, obviously Marcus. After being seated we got our drink order taken and brought to us instantly. I have been to this restaurant many times and love the food. I visited today and wanted to comment on a great server. His name is Axel. He was very professional and attentive. He got everything in the order correctly and came back to our table many times to check on us and to pour more water and coffee. Great server.
This has become a regular spot and I am glad it is in Scottsdale. Met a friend for brunch today and our server was so nice. His name is Axel. He got the orders out just like we asked them to be made, thanks to his instructions to the kitchen. He was humorous and attentive. The food was great and our server was the best. Thanks for a great meal.

Delicious!! I am not sure why I have never been to a black bear diner. I have always heard good things, but never felt compelled to check it out. I am glad I did! The food and service were phenomenal. The cold brew was also delicious. I can't wait to go back!

It is what is ... a diner serving mediocre comfort food. A blast from the past all the way down to the piped in music. We asked the waitress if the turkey in the turkey dinners was "carved" real turkey breast. She said "Yes.". It's not. It's some kind of pressed or rolled turkey.
