Worst meal in Arizona. The wait was bad enough but the service took the cake. The food took forever and then it was cold? Meat lovers omelet with no meat? Brown gravy look like soup. Breakfast gravy no sausage? False advertising.... I'm good, they can keep this dump.
The worst service I have had and the restaurant and it was not that busy. The waitress was not very attentive. I finished my tea before the meal came and the waitress showed up half way thru the meal and asked how everything was. I asked for a refill and she never came back. Black Bear Diner in Tucson.
Asked server Ruben or taco salad ...having had taco salad previously ...server advised taco salad...half way thru no refried beans of which I looked forward to...server checked...no beans...went to kitchen cook says we are out...no beans...perhaps cook should inform wait staff $55 for 2 was a disappointment...got a burrito at Taco Bell $2.
First off we where standing there for 5 minutes with out being greeted once greeted she was not friendly at all. We finally got seated and our servers name was Veronica she was not pleasant and not attentive to us at all. We ordered our food which came out fast but I ordered the Club sandwich all my toast was burnt and there was not ham and very very little turkey and all the fries where soggy and not very warm I am not pleased. I've been waiting for a call-back since Monday. I called and left a complaint over the weekend, and that call was nicely returned Monday morning around 9am. I voiced my concerns, and I was supposed to receive another call, which I haven't yet. The food was extremely overpriced. I paid 13.98 for toast with a smear of avocado and 2 small eggs (two order of this.)I was so bothered by the price that I went back the next day to review the menu and see if I was charged correctly. 2 tables 2 different waitresses apologizing to their customers. One for "the kitchen not understanding how to make your sandwich, I'm not sure what the problem is. Wld u like me to package it to go?" Sat for 10 minutes before our waitress acknowledged us, took beverage order & dinner order, all at the same time. 20 minutes pass & she returned to our table to tell us "the kitchen was plating your order & they realized they were out of pot roast" She then left to grab me a menu, so I could choose another meal. This was my first time visiting this diner. Upon entry, I noticed the restaurant was not clean. When the hostess took us to our table, we had to request that the area be clean. The floor was dirty with paper and trash. This is not good for a restaurant. I ordered the fried chicken and it was ok. I was disappointed because I don't expect to go to a restaurant and not find the area to look the way this one did. We first visited the diner in Phoenix a few years back and really liked it. So excited when the diner opened in Tucson, 6095 E Broadway. 1. Had 20 minute wait 2. Server (Tracy or Jason) not sure as the receipt has Abigail on it 3. French fries were cold and limp both for our club sandwich and my granddaughters chicken tenders. 4. Very disappointed!!! This is our favorite restaurant!!! We go there 2-4 times a week!!! My husband loves the fish!!! We went on New year's eve, and wanted a nice dinner.. It turned out to be a nightmare!!! We went home with out dinner!!! The Bear breakfast was cold!!! Eggs cold, only one pancake came out and it was cold!!!
