Granted, Sundays are a busy day for most any eatery but busy is no excuse for filth. Shown to our table the booth seat and floors under and around the table look as if a parrot was eating there. I had to ask the hostess to clean up the debris under the table and on the seats before sitting down. The table top was suspect. With the too few wait staff on duty, the cooks in the kitchen over burdened the very least Corporate can do is authorize the hiring of a custodian to keep the floors clean and if the excuse is “ no ... read more

Let me say right now that I don't want a free meal from Black Bear. But most other reputable restaurants at least make the offer when a fairly regular customer is dissatisfied. Not only did the manager fail to offer another meal, but neither did you, her bosses. And your response that you will simply "follow up" with the manager reeks of a glib answer from someone who really doesn't care what a customer thinks. We was second inline to be seated and the hostess asked the person behind us and I had to stop her as we was next . We waited 5 minutes? Before we was asked about drinks and that was only after I stopped another server and asked them for drinks . People got food before us who were seated after us ! This was the 2nd visit with issues! Very poor customer service.

My wife and I have been to Black Bear restaurant in Tucson over a dozen times (Broadway location), and this was the first time we were dissatisfied. We ordered a fried chicken meal. The chicken "leg" was tiny and overcooked. The same with the "wing": I only got the upper wing part, it was also overcooked, and broke in half when I tried to bite it. I'm a delivery driver. I have picked up at your Tucson store many times. I was in the restaurant business in Seattle for many years. My family owned the place, and I ran it at night from behind the bar. We were sucessful and busy until selling it. I then worked in management for three different nationwide restaurant corporations for many years. So much for my credentials. My wife and I have dined at this restaurant many times and been very happy with both food and service however today you miss fired on all I had chicken dinner the chicken was way over cooked. And dry and the green salad was browning while my potatoes and gravy were wonderful , my wife had a taco salad and the shell was burned and discussting My grandsons tri tip dip came out after the rest of us we basically done eating and my grand daughter never got her syrup for her waffle
Absolutely disgusting food and service. We've eaten there before enjoyed it but apparently there's all new staff we got the excuse they were do cooks who apparently didn't know how to cook or even boil water we will not be back
Called from a hotel to place an order for delivery which is says online is available. Was told they do not deliver. So my husband said he would go pick it up. We were told out order would be ready in 15 minutes. He arrived there in 13 minutes. On arrival found no one at the register. The staff all hanging around visiting and our order sitting behind the register in a bag. He returned to the hotel, 2 minutes away, with our food that was stone cold.
