Super cute place with good food! I loved the atmosphere and decor which struck me as unique, and the service was great. The food was pretty good and was pleasing to the eye! I had the vegetarian omelette, and while I wasn’t expecting it to be robust with flavor it was lacking a little for me but the pepper sauce they have there made up for it. Everything else was great though, and the biscuits are huge! If you go during busy hours you can expect a wait time but I have no issues with that. Overall a good dining experience and... read more

Okay, what can I say about this restaurant and the excellent service I received? A couple of paragraphs of praise and a job well done. First, let me point out my first impression. The server was good and funny. Great people skills for sure. Now on the food side of things the food itself was not that delicious. Now granted I only tried the breakfast so the lunch and dinner may be worth the hype but I don’t not recommend the breakfast at all.

I really wanted to love this place, we’ve waited awhile before trying it out and it seemed that a Sunday evening was a fine time to enjoy us some Black Bear Diner. The atmosphere was nice, woodsy with a nice bear theme just right for Waco. The menu was robust with multiple delicious sounding options! So far, so good. They didn’t seem too busy and the service was noticeably slow. We were greeted with smiles but our waitress did not live up to the hospitality claimed on the restaurant menu. It took a long time to get our food.... read more

2 stars - the price / ambience is great but for the food that I got a sub-par food - not a steak house I know but I got the steak medium - I got a congratulations (kidding aside) flavor wise it’s lacking seasoning. My family did enjoy their food but a heads up on an item that is not available would have been better a few minutes after taking the order not the latter when all the other items on our table are technically done. (Since this prolonged our waiting time and was informed that the other items need to be re-done due ... read more
