Mother’s Day was hectic, especially when your stepson’s mom does a no show on mother’s day. By the time we established that, every place was over an hour wait. I thought of Black Bear Diner, because the have the best waffles!! 👅 we call and they said that their wait was about 20-30 minutes. So we wait. I'm a New Yorker. We know from diners. Black Bear is as authentic as diners get. Large, tasty, portions at an impossibly reasonable price. An ever full cuppa joe. Servers with moxie, poise, and talent--and it takes talent to be a good server. And jaunty music that brings back memories. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all good at Black Bear Diner. Every dining experience we've had to date has been terrific! Large portions, at a great price! Dinner a time the restaurant and a late-night snack later at home!
We are Black Bear Diner nuts! We have been to this particular establishment all over California. This one is one of the good ones. The food was great, the restaurant was packed, and yet we still got our food in a timely fashion. I LOVE their ranch dressing! The big Bear burger is HUGE! My son actually managed to finish it! The waitress was sweet and brought us everything we needed. Overall 5 stars! Do expect us back as we live right down the street! �
