Terrible service! Busy Friday holiday weekend! One waitress, one "hostess", took 30 minutes to seat my wife and I. Hostess told us they had no dishwasher & as a result, they had no silverware. Finally seated us and took orders from customers who had come in after us! Under staffed caused so many problems. Waitress is either extremely hyper or on something? I kind of felt bad but we waited it out hoping to get our food?

I haven't been to Black Bear Diner in quite some time, as my last experience prior to ordering today was not great. I wished I could say that my order today was better. I should have taken photos to upload, but I had the food delivered via Doordash and felt like the presentation may not have been the fault of the establishment. We ordered biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak Benedict and childs chicken strips with fries. The gravy for the biscuits was so thin that it almost had a soup like consistency. The wait to receive our breakfast was extreme. I wouldn't necessarily blame the help, but attribute the 'lacking service" to poor management. Might have been nice to receive, at least, a few informational words with our coffee. Can't rate the food because after nearly an hour and a half of unacknowledged sitting, we left to have lunch, across the street.

I stopped there on 5/9/22 there was 5 of us I ordered the Turkey club it was SUPPOSED to have mayo lettuce tomatoes smoked ham turkey breast cheese and bacon. I ordered NO MAYO they brought out the food my sammie had mayo sent it back got it back the sammie had 1 piece of smoked ham 1/2 in wide by 2 in long for the whole sammie the turkey breast had 2 slices of turkey 1 inch long and 2 inches wide!! My daughters sandwich chicken avocado club was just as bad the chicken breast was not sliced and very dry!! Told the waitr... read more

We ordered eggs Benedict and requested hard poached. They came runny and it didn't even look like eggs Benedict. The other order was for fruit as a side instead of potatoes. Fruit never came. But the main issue was the incredibly slow wait for our food after ordering. When we complained we were told that they had an 18 customer rush, causing the delay. This seemed like nonsense for a kitchen that size. On top of that, the food was not hot, when it finally did arrive. Which leads to the feeling about poor management. ... read more
