The black bear diner has a nice and cozy atmosphere, with friendly and attentive servers! Our waitress Dez was so kind and generous really amazing at her job! The food was good with substantial serving sizes! There are a wide variety of options on the menu! It's unique in its atmosphere, and family friendly!! In the area, it stands alone in its dessert selection! Overall, the food and service here was delightful!
It's been my third time eating there and it was amazing. The food has always been great! The customer service is the best around this area. We always have at least two people checking on us. We've been greeted by the owner Steve twice now. It's just great to be able to have a large menu that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day long. I can't stress enough how amazing this restaurant is! I highly recommend them!
Black Bear Diner has been a staple in my family for years and glad to see one open up in Yucca Valley. The service is slow and probably need to hire more servers, I only saw two for the whole restaurant. The food is good but not great, I ordered the tri tip dip and it was very salty, the fries were cold along with flat soda. The decor is nice along with the Bear stuff everywhere, clean place along with a ok pie selection.

I had a wonderful experience at Black Bear Diner on 1/10/2024 . Beth was our waitress and she was terrific, the food was really good !! The one thing about the restaurant I really liked it was extremely clean .
Had wonderful service today for lunch. Our servers Ashley and Beth were extremely attentive and friendly. The food was out quick and was delicious. We definitely will be back.
Service was good a little slow, omelet was good hash browns were awful over cooked and cold (gave refund) but my husbands red potatoes were good, Biscuit was huge, blackberry cobbler really good, coffee was strong, we will give it another try dinner next time but it is $$.
I haven't had blackbear diner in a while due to a bad experience. I was hesitant but since it is a new location I decided to give it another try and I'm glad I did. The food was very good! Our server Amanda was super nice and very respectful/put together. My family and I enjoyed our hot meal and service was fast and great. Restaurant was also very clean and tidy.
I really wanted to love this place. I visited the original Black Bear Diner long ago. The menu is huge and the food servings are plentiful. The food was good but not great. My friend's sweet potato fries were not fresh and the service was just okay. I was disappointed with the food and service. The ambiance is cute with the bear theme but the restaurant did not live up to the story told in the newspaper menu. By the way I had a burger with fries and my friend had the club with sweet potato fries, both forgettable.
