Shawn, the furnace repairman, was outstanding in his knowledge and personality. We have had a few trying to fix the problem and HE fixed it with no problem. Kudos to Shawn. Today, May 2nd, I had the pleasure once more of Shawn, who with Trevor, another outstanding person, who professionally installed an electric hot water heater and set up my new gas service. My husband and I were so impressed with the quality and professionalism of their work. We are so glad we became a customer of Blue Ox.

Their customer service is terrible. When I signed up I made it clear I was from FL but they took no time to be thorough with me which resulted in me being without propane for almost 24h in the winter. And they wanted to charge me $200 for an emergency delivery (which I asked for a manager, thank goodness he offered me that kindness). They didn’t communicate that process either, how was I supposed to know there are on call deliveries after hours? I was terrified and confused. They were a better option than Mirabito's when I moved into the area but I am now switching to Boulder. A lot of their policies seem based on the fact that they were a slightly better of 2 major options. The more I researched the more I found far better prices and policy (mainly referring to Blue ox's minimum order policy). So while they aren't the worst option they are FAR from being the best option.

Disappointing company, I moved here 5 years ago and they had the heating oil, propane, and service contact on my home. I used them for 2 years and found better, after servicing my furnace it didn't work and they want to charge me to look at it. It worked before they touched it. I then dropped their heating oil and service, now I am looking for a new propane company because they want to charge me $50 for not buying propane in a year. Charge for not buying a product is ridiculous.

On May 10, 2025 we awoke to an oily smell and light smokey air in our home. We placed a call to BlueOx for a service check. Ryan arrived within the jour and checked out our furnace. Replaced a nozzle and flow part, explaining everything to us as he performed the service. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel confident that he had resolved the problem. The unit has been working fine ever since. Ryan did a great job and solidified our confidence in BlueOx as a caring and professional service provider.
