My experience with Open Road BMW of Edison and Nitin Kalamdani (Sales) and Dean Palumbo (General Sales Manager) on Sat, Jan 23rd was excellent.
I leased my first car with Open Road two years prior and it was also quite a pleasant experience. On January 23rd, I went back to Open Road, after visiting Volvo, BMW of Princeton and several other dealerships. At BMW Princeton, I was ignored, my time was wasted, and I was not taken seriously. At Volvo, there was no follow up, and again - I felt my time was wasted.
I loved my time with Open Road because first, my sales rep Nitin followed up with me via phone several times which I appreciated to confirm our appt. Then he was excellent in listening to exactly what I wanted. He didn't push features, cars, colors or anything else that wouldn’t contribute to exactly what I needed. I had no interest in spending any time at BMW that I didn't need to spend. Nitin was busy, but took care of selling me my car as quickly as possible (which was my objective) and also understood that once I purchased my car I wanted to get out of there ASAP! :)
Dean Palumbo, who is the General Sales Manager at Open Road was excellent, friendly, and made my whole experience pretty amazing. I noticed prior to meeting Dean, he extended the same courtesy, professionalism, and patience with a client that was there earlier. Dean went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy not only with his sales team, with the car, but also to the last minute during the finance piece. He has continued to follow up with me, and this type of service is priceless.
BMW spends millions of dollars in advertizing their cars, and the excellence they represent, and it’s a shame when customers have poor or mediocre experiences at dealerships. Luckily, I felt I worked with two excellent managers, and not only did they represent BWM well, but took their time and effort to make sure that I was happy and satisfied.
I am looking forward to going back to BWM when I need another car, and would be more than happy to recommend both Dean and Nitin to anyone interested in an exceptional car buying experience.
