Boom fitness in Mineola is great with 24 hour access. The yoga is fantastic. I teach yoga too but even instructors, gym owners, and personal trainers need discipline, routine and motivational mentors. I found that at Boom. There is a wide variety of equipment, The location is convenient. It doesn't smell like a sweaty locker room. There is plenty of parking. Personal trainers are reasonably priced and give you results. Don't waste your time going to Boom Fitness. Lady at the desk extremely rude!! I was visiting family for 3 weeks asked if I could pay for a month membership was told they don't offer that. I could pay $5.00 a day or $20.00 a week. I said that was expensive but paid for 1 week to try the place out. Afterwards noticed online they offer a month to month for $50.00 prorated the 1st month and written notice the 21st of the month to cancel for the next month. Great gym by far in east Texas! I wish it had some more equipment though. For example, there are no free weight fixed barbells that are under 50 pounds. Have to constantly substitute some workouts. Also another stepper would be nice so my partner and I can do the same workouts together. Other than that, it’s a great atmosphere!
I don’t know how you are supposed to get a membership here. Tried to get in during business hours. About 3pm. Front door is locked and only for members. They don’t have a door for guests so I couldn’t get in to get a membership or talk to anyone that works there. Called the number they put on the door three times and no one picked up. Left a voicemail and haven’t heard back from anyone yet.
Boom is a great facility, friendly members and owners, and the gym is always clean. Definitely a welcoming environment!
