To begin, this hospital is not family friendly. For example, visitation is allowed for one specific hour twice a week. For our family, we were allowed to visit from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Visits are held in a room to which patients are escorted from their bedrooms. Visits are monitored by a staff member who informs the visitors when five minutes of visitation time are remaining. This new Hospital/ owned by Avalon is in desperate need of inclusive administration. Life saving medication you receive for ongoing health conditions such as kidney disease, heart disease, disabling headaches can be held up from arrival up to four or five days. The chornic understaffing leads to lack of staff patient meaningful interaction. Also, their major concern is restrictions. Due to short staffing, punitive and restrictive rules apply to everyone.
