The four ladies who checked me in on Tuesday evening made feel welcome at Brookwood Skilled Nursing Center. They had a great sense of fun. I am quite anxious about these new situations in my life -going into a rehab situation after needing intravenous antibiotics for two weeks. Feeling comfortable is half the battle. Absolutely HORRIBLE facility! The staff is rude, incompetent and uneducated. The night staff was always high on drugs and slurring their words. Our mother fell in the shower, she was shoved in an ambulance and sent to the ER alone. She has dementia! Clothes were stolen, many were damaged, jewelry and other items were stolen by the staff. Medication was not administered correctly, they refused to cooperate with our mom's drs. They gave our mother medication she was allergic to. I WORKED HERE AS A CNA FOR 3 WEEKS. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR LOVE ONES. First of all the administrator knew a homeless man was sleeping under a residents bed in a room she shared with another resident woman. She claimed he was like a son to the resident and doesn't bother anyone so it's okay. Yes you heard that right. He slept under her bed in a shared room. Now the nurses/facility will not send people out when they clearly need medical attention. They're under investigation for this right now which seems about righ... read more

Do NOT trust them to care for your loved one. My mom went in for short term therapy after surgery before going home. She contracted a very contagious condition that was NOT treated. She ended up back in the hospital after many days of not being treated. She only went to the hospital because she fell because her legs were so weak. She may not make it.

My Mom spent 20 days in the SNF. I cannot express how wonderful all the staff is. They made sure that she received the IV medication on time, Mary took exceptional care of all her wound vac needs. Royce and Betty are both a delight. She received PT 6 days a week for 2 hrs and they really made a difference. They encourage the residents to eat together in the dinning room, which really helped socially for her. Daily housekeeping, garden area and library.
