Bruce's A/C: A/C replacement unit. Caught me late on a Friday / 115 degree day; wife had had a stroke and I couldn't wait. Way over-priced but I was in a serious pinch. They even brought their mba-wannabe around the next morning to see the dummies they'd conned. My property management company had Jamie from Bruce's air-conditioning come over and do an estimate/troubleshooting. My system was not cooling adequately on very warm days in Arizona. Jamie listened to my description and experiences with the issue, and took into account the steps I had already taken with another AC technician. TL;DR: Get a second opinion. Always. Don’t let them pressure you. We had two separate experiences with Bruce’s, and both felt more like pressure-based up-sells than actual service. Most recently, they diagnosed our rooftop AC with two failing motors and quoted us over $2,000, pushing a “discount” if we signed up for their yearly subscription plan.
