My wife had the misfortune of hitting a young magpie on the way home from Burnie. She called the Burnie Veterinary Centre and they were willing to take the young bird in for assessment and treatment. My wife and four year old son were happy and relieved too!
When Shadow was recently attacked by a Sharpei on a walk, Vet Mark Flanagan saw her almost immediately and she's now recovering very well. I travel 3/4hr to visit the surgery as I believe they have the best quality vet care for my needs.
I don’t know if I caught the vet on a bad day, but I felt as if I was taking up her time. She did not know what was causing the pain in my dogs leg but did give meloxicam. Like all mothers I felt it an ordeal. Told me my dog was overweight, but I tried to tell her my dog was the biggest in the litter, Not interested. My small dog was 3 kilos and large dog 6 kilos.
This practice is always booked out for a reason. Claire's an amazing vet and the whole team are focused on ensuring their patients are the priority
My friend asked me to write a review as follows; 'Our pup needed urgent care as she hadn't had much food and water for days. Turns out she was bleeding internally but the Burnie Veterinary Clinic refused to even see her because they were full. How would you like it if your arm was cut off and the hospital turned you away because they were vaccinating people that day?' Utterly disgusting how you can turn an animal away when there is clearly something wrong. Dogs don't just stop eating or drinking without reason.
Burnie Veterinary Centre has a 4.7 star rating with 120 reviews.
