This will be my third colonoscopy and I feel better prepared for it than I ever was before. Because of my age (78) an office visit was required and it helped me a great deal in terms of readiness and understanding. The nurse and PA I met with both spoke clearly and concisely and were patient, a credit to them after how many people had they seen that day? So thanks, I feel much calmer going into this, which wasn't the case before. Richard.
The front office staff and the nurse that took my vitals were all wonderful. It is when I saw the NP Barnes, that my trust was destroyed. She did not review my chart before entering the room, she talked at me and didn't hear what I was saying, and she never once looked at me. Dr. Odabasi was kind and pleasant and I would recommend her to anyone. The real star though was the anesthesiologist, whose name I didn't catch. He was so kind and had excellent bedside manners. I was so nervous about my procedure and he was honest but reassuring. His demeanor and energy was calm and confident, which really helped me.
It was a nice visit. The receptionist and staff were all kind and friendly. The nurse and Tara Spalding who did see me that day were exceptional. The only reason why I didn’t give it a 5star is because I was promised to expect a call from the doctor that they refer me for the procedure but up until now I haven’t had any calls yet. Still hoping though. I told them I wanted the procedure to be done (hopefully) before school starts.
The only problem I had was my appointment was for 3pm & I didn’t get called until 3:35. Then I had to wait another 30 minutes before the Dr came in. I understand you were short staffed that day but no one told us there could be a delay. What irritates me about it is you request us to be 20 minutes prior to the appointment and request 24 hour notice if we need to change it or we will be charged for the office visit. That implies that your staffs time is more important than ours. Thank you!
