Our Virginia Beach – Princess Anne office is located on the Sentara Princess Anne campus just off VA-165. We’re three miles from the Oceana Naval Air Station and ten miles from Virginia Beach. We are located on the first floor and have ample free parking onsite. Our practice features spacious exam rooms and a state-of-the-art endoscopy suite.

The doctors and the staff at Capital Digestive are nothing shy of amazing. They're customer service and bedside manor are top notch. I really appreciate how they've treated me the 2 times I've been there. Also, I'm extremely satisfied with how thorough they've been with my wife. She thought she needed an endoscopy, but it turns out she had other issues outside of the scope that were discovered by her doctor. The doctors concerns may very well have saved my wife's life in regards to catching thing before they got worse.
This was my first visit. I would definitely use this facility again. The doctor, nurses, and team were very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. They were more than willing to answer any questions and help ease my concerns.
The medical staff are great. They explained what they were doing. My doctor checked on me twice and asked if I had any questions before I was released. The online portal and in person paperwork are redundant.The office personnel said they never see the portal information and have no idea were it goes. I was greeted with a cancellation, late arrival contract with $150 auto deductible. I explained that I was 55 mins early for an appointment which I was to arrive 45 mins early. I had an outstanding experience at this practice. Dr. Barsten and her team took great care of me and made sure I was fully aware of everything that was going on. They also seem genuinely concerned about how I was doing and made sure they answered all my questions. I would also like to recognize the efforts of Bobby my nurse and Bell my anesthesiologist.
I was feeling quite groggy after my procedure. I couldn’t even sit up on the side of the gurney. I’m glad I didn’t fall as the nurse was trying to expedite our exit. My husband and I felt rushed with getting me dressed and out of the recovery room. A few days later that same nurse called to apologize. Although I appreciated the call it does not change my experience. She also said that I wasn’t given a large dose of anesthesia.
