I had a very negative experience with the front desk staff at this office that ultimately led me to discontinue care. From the moment I approached the desk, the receptionist’s tone was immediately confrontational before I had even provided my name or date of birth giving the impression that she was already familiar with my situation and prepared to address me in a negative manner. During the interaction, I was spoken to in a scolding and inappropriate way regarding my appointment history and personal healthcare decisions. ... read more

I expected an all female provider practice to provide me with the best care because I assumed they could best understand my needs. I received the complete opposite. I had a different provider when I was pregnant with my son but they no longer provide maternal care. I was switched to this practice. I should have switched after my first two negative experiences (not listening to past negative side effects from an IUD) at this practice but I figured when I (hopefully) got pregnant again I would be in better care. I have had two pregnancies and deliveries under the care of capital region midwifery and I could not ask for better care. I was able to have a successful VBAC with my second and without interventions at St Peters Hospital. I am thankful for my entire experience with both of my children and look forward to another in the future. If you want an empowering birth experience, to go in educated, and are open to the entire birth experience then this practice is the best in my opinion. They also work with two physicians as well in c... read more

Incredibly positive prenatal and delivery experience with the midwives and their team. Warm, communicative, well informed, and respectful. Would highly recommend if you are interested in going the midwife route. We did a lot of research during the prenatal period and advocated for ourselves throughout. It felt like we were in control despite a number of twists and turns. The care was excellent.

I can honestly say I’m really disappointed. I had such high hopes for a nice pregnancy and birth experience but it took a very unfortunate turn as I was closer to my delivery. The whole final month or more I was pregnant I would tell them I felt like I had the flu. They basically just told me “oh you’re really pregnant, you’re supposed to feel like horrible” so I was ignored and never tested for anything. I would fall asleep in the middle of the day I was so exhausted and I just felt really unwell. This is relevant I will co... read more
