Our brother was recently admitted to Care One at Newton. Since his first day, I have been contacted by staff, nurses and social workers who introduced themselves and answered all my questions. Everyone is very nice, professional, and caring. I am very impressed with Care One.

I’m sorry to say that, while there are some staff at this location that are amazing and seem attentive and kind to the residents, every time I have visited (which has been every week since November 2023) I have witnessed some form of neglect. Residents calling for help for 45 minutes or more, employees noticing and choosing to ignore residents in need of changing, residents being left alone for long periods, residents clearly stating their wishes and being ignored. I was recently at care one newton I had a roommate who screamed and swore at the tv And to people in other rooms across the hall. I wanted a single room they said they could put me in an empty room and try and keep it empty. Literally 10 minutes after I get in the room they bring in a roommate really! 10 minutes. Every time you hit the call button lucky if they come in an hour. The food was not good. I left after 3 days against medical advice. Here’s the thing , how does one want to work in a nursing home , and not care for who u are taking care of, you really think one really wants to be in one , but to make their life more challenging, I have seen both sides , day shift CNA’s seems to do their jobs , for the most part, but some just really don’t care .
