They took care to clean, dress, and bring my mother to the general area each day. She always looked well groomed. We chose this community because it was more reasonably priced than where she was previously.

Based on the experience we have had so far, we think we would recommend the CareOne at Somerset Valley to other families. Most of the staff members working there are helpful and overall it is a safe place for our loved one

My Uncle has been a resident since [date removed]. He says “I have nothing to complain about! Would I rather be in Paris of course I would but I have absolute nothing to complain about.” He entered after a year of extreme alcoholism and self-neglect leaving him malnourished and at death’s door. Since living at CareOne he has gained 50 lbs (he loves the food) and hasn’t missed a single day of meds which he was unable to manage on his own. He lived isolated alone in a garden apartment. He now has a beautiful studio apartment w... read more

I think they do the best they can under the circumstances for example with short staffing and the pandemic. Some of the activities available include folding clothes, arts and crafts, and more for the residents to participate in if they choose to.

I would say that the social worker was not as good there as at another facility we had been at previously. We insisted on getting information, but if you don't ask for information you don't get it. We had weekly conferences with everyone, and I wanted my husband to have intensive PT and begin to walk. When I asked if that was possible, they said it was not realistic. And I feel like they should have told me that before I asked the question. I thought they should have been more transparent. But I thought the facility itself w... read more

The value for cost was pretty good while our loved one there, we had a sense that she enjoyed her stay. CareOne did right by our family, the administrator was amazing, we loved her. She was very good with our family and other families there. She was always on top of everything, and we really liked how they gave out their personal cell phone numbers in case we ever had an emergency or any concerns. The nurses assistant [name removed] was amazing, she not only showed loved to our mother but to our family. We really appreciated... read more

I will say we had a difficult time making a decision to pick a rehab facility during covid times. Reading some of the reviews didn’t help but I do take into consideration that people tend to only review negative experiences but I would like to tell you about our experience. From the start our first chats with [name removed] was so detailed and assuring we decided to go with CareOne. We were assigned another social worker also named [name removed]. She was so caring and kind. Made sure we were able to contact her at anytime. ... read more

Staff is great and trying their best, the problems are in doctors who are visiting this facility, unproductive and unresponsive.... administration should be more careful in selection of the doctors. But the stuff, nurses and CNA are really great.

So far everything is working out pretty well since my fathers move to this community. He is doing okay, and I'am comfortable with his move to this facility. They have a nice staff, and they are taking good care of him. This is a good, safe community, and I would recommend it.
