Best service in Carlsbad. Very professional and very prompt with test. Knowledgeable and reliable service. Highly recommended, if you need your car tested for smog. 10/10/23 Update. They have upgraded a lot of things recently. Place is bigger and brighter. The service is still the same as 4 years ago.
I had a problem in the morning getting through to someone over the phone last week, however, unlike Randy when i arrived I inquired why no one was answering the phone. Found out there phone was broken and was no phone calls were going through. I can't leave a bad review for this place because that is out of their control. They did have a bit of a wait but so did the other two smog shops in Carlsbad. Not a problem, I left my car with them and when i returned it was complete and passed the test. See you in two years.
I highly recommend this place. I gave them a call, they don't do appointments, but recommended I come in 10 min before opening to be the first one. I did that and he got me through as quick as possible. Great communication. I plan to come back for every smog check I need.
Carlsbad smog was recommended to me by a long-time Porsche friend. I was late to join the P-club so I had no idea where to have the initial smog performed. My car is a 981 GT4 which has a mid-engine layout covered on top with a metal access panel, carpeting, and various trim pieces. 1st few smog shops I visited declined to perform the smog. Everyone loves to give 5 stars and say wonderful things when their vehicle passes smog lol , so I'm going to be a good sport. On a side note and Randy made me realize even more how this is not the same place it was the last time he was here for his smog and it definitely wasn't the same place or same guy for that matter when I took my mom's car in this year 2024 .
