I never write bad reviews but this is one of the worst dental experiences I’ve ever had. When I called to schedule the appointment, they confirmed that they accepted my insurance. However, when I arrived, I was told they do not take my insurance. I was then charged $50 for an X-ray, and after being seated in the chair, I waited nearly an hour before the dentist saw me. I had a great experience today at Carolinas Dentist . Everyone was super friendly and very professional! The hygienist Kendal was very gentle did a great job cleaning my teeth . Brooklyn who took all the X-rays did a really nice job of explaining what she was doing.Dr Kay was extremely nice and easy going and informative. Highly recommend!!!
Hi. I’m Carter. I’m new to Chapel Hill, NC. Just moved here 2 months ago. With living here I needed to transition into my new primary care doctor and dentist, and I will say by far CarolinasDentist have been great. Dr. Kay and the hygienists were nice at first, but wow. I came in to get three cavities fixed by Dr. Kay in October and can’t seem to manage the tooth pain. I literally can’t eat on the right side of my mouth or I’ll tear up in pain. Dr. Kay even referred me to a specialist and blamed “baby teeth fragments” were causing my pain, even though the pain started right after my appointment. Dr Kay and her assistant Lauren were exceptional. They were sympathetic to my anxiety and took great care to make the experience as less traumatic as possible. Even the front desk check-in person, when I told her my concerns, she passed the message on so Dr Kay and Lauren were prepared for me. So everyone was great right from the start, but I would hope to have that team again the next time I have serious dental work.
