Window was measured incorrectly. Wanted to charge me more after financing was already approved. Paperwork had to be redone. Process took about 4 months which was longer than I expected. Installation process was great. However, installers were not notified that a bow window was changing to a flat window and it took them several days to come up with a solution to cover up the bow.
Installation lead time too long
Only one person on the crew spoke English, and he was a 16 year old student. I had to show them spots to fix the entire time they were here.i already have one window that is off the track, and have reported the knobs to move the windows, and still waiting on someone to come replace those.
I have an issue with the work. They promised they would come back, clean the windows, and plug the holes. Some holes should've been plugged, and some caulk broke when they took out the windows. I understand that they were old, but they should've caulked back what they broke. The company should outsource the work to people that know how the work is done, not to people who are learning. I understand labor shortages but telling a customer that it will take 2 days to complete a job when you bring one person to install the windows
About as bad an experience as one could imagine. Durham office managment staff and the Raleigh installation manager made a total mess of things going back to August 2021 (door finally installed in May 2022). After terrible and or no communication with Champion after February 2022 we filed a complaint with the NC DOJ, Consumer Affairs Division and with the lender.
